Dear Fellow SPRA Member, we are writing to introduce to you singer-entertainer Frank Lamphere for the purpose of hiring consideration for one of this year’s park events. There is a shortage of high quality musical entertainment options for the over 55 crowd; and rarely are there stage shows that work for both young and old alike. Frank’s show is a big exception!
Although he did not perform last November at the SPRA showcase, Lamphere or "Mr. Rat Pack" has been very prominent on the Midwest music scene; most recently working a three month engagement in downtown Chicago at Viand in the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. Set to record and release a new CD this spring, Frank is looking to expand his fan base and take on more daytime shows. He always works with an energetic band of top musicians and has an appeal that spans generations. His onstage goal is to dazzle and make fans of first time listeners while winning over the folks who grew up with this music. He and his band make some seriously good and family-friendly music.
Frank has a strong resumè of shows, nightclub performances and an impressive client list that has been accumulated in his fifteen years in the music business. The diverse clientele includes: Akzo Nobel, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, Western Illinois University, Geneva Concours d’Elegance, Radisson Hotels, Wells Fargo Bank, City of Oak Forest, YMCA of McDonough County, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Iowa Wesleyan College, the Peninsula Hotel and many others.
Three unique shows are available and include: "Frank Lamphere Presents Rat Pack Jazz" a musical variety show that he will be perform at the already sold out Nathan Manilow Theater in Park Forest on March 09 and two artist-specific tribute shows "Sinatra Spoken Here" and the "Dean Martin Tribute Show". Rather than weak impersonations that rely on costumes, props and outdated humor, these professional 60-75 minute shows are strong on music content, capture the essence of the originals and are proven to be real crowd pleasers. All three shows are available with 4-10 piece backing bands to accommodate various venues and budgets. They feature high quality sound and a lighting option.
