"I Never Forgot" words and music by singer-songwriter Frank Lamphere. "I Never Forgot" had many lyric and title changes before arriving at it's destination.
The music was always in place; it was the "right" title that eluded Lamphere. In fact at the recording session the working title was the off beat "Skaboo Beebee Bueno Boo". It made sense as a whole, but fortunately for Lamphere and for the public for that matter, Frank found some new inspiration after that recording session and completely rewrote the lyrics.

We now have a song that deals with one who runs into (by chance) a former lover, reminisces (with delight), and hopes that the future may hold something for them.

The whole encounter is weaved together with an infectious swing melody and includes tenor and trumpet solos by Eric Schneider and Art Davis respectively.
