The romantic new song "I Never Forgot" with words and music by singer-songwriter Frank Lamphere. "I Never Forgot" had many lyric and title changes before arriving at it's present state. The music was always in place; it was the "right" title that eluded Lamphere. In fact at the recording session the working title was "Skaboo Beebee Bueno Boo". It made sense as a whole, but fortunately for Lamphere (and the public for that matter) new inspiration was found after that first recording session. He found the new title and then completely rewrote the lyrics.
The song has to do with one who runs into a former flame. He reminisces and talks (seeing no wedding band on her finger) about a future that may hold promise for them. Frank drew lyrical inspiration from his own story true life story of how he and his wife Daniela found one another again after twelve years and seperated by an ocean.
Like most of Frank's work, this infectious jazzy mid-tempo swinger will leave one's fingers tapping. "I Never Forgot" includes tenor and trumpet solos by Eric Schneider and Art Davis.
