The musical excellence, visual excitement, and professionalism of Rat Pack Jazz, will help to make your wedding a great success! We will program the musical entertainment to your wishes. For those without a specific plan, we have taken some of the guess work out of your planning with a description of the "usual" format and six wedding music packages that have proven popular.
Cocktail Hour- Jazz trio performing swinging standards
Announcements- Introducing of bridal party, bride and groom and toasts.
Dinner Hour- Pre-recorded music or solo piano.
After Dinner Events- Cake cutting, bride and groom’s first dance, father and bride dance, garter toss, etc. (Optional)
Dance/show- For some this will be a concert, the best they’ve seen in years! For others, this will be an opportunity to show off their dancing skills. And yet for others, this will be an interesting background for their conversations as they catch up on old times with friends and relations. During the breaks prerecorded music is played. Either our "lounge-jazz" type music or your special recordings. Our preferred band size is at least 8. We can however go smaller and much larger depending on your needs. (3 Hour typical)
Trio- The most basic of all accompaniments. Piano, bass, and drums. Intimate and classy.
Quartet- Frank is backed by his "killer" rhythm section piano, upright bass, drums, and either guitar or saxophonist.
6 piece Band- Frank is backed by his core 4 piece rhythm section (piano, bass, guitar, drummer) and trumpet and saxophone.
8 piece Band- Frank is backed by 4 rhythm, 2 saxophonists (tenor and baritone/alto), trumpet and trombone. Recommended for the variety and fullness!
10 piece Band- Frank is backed by the 8 musicians as above and adds another trumpet and saxophone.
18 piece Big Band- Here we assemble 5 rhythm (add percussionist), 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, and 4 trombones. Using near identical arrangements to those Frank Sinatra used to record many of his biggest hits (Fly Me To The Moon, Night And Day, I Get A Kick Out Of You, etc...) This is Las Vegas quality!
