Frank Lamphere - Strangers In the Night from the album Frank Songs, My Way
What a huge hit this was in 1966! English lyrics were added to the Bert Kaempfert (German) melody and then this one was recorded by many of the big stars of the time including: Peggy Lee, Johnny Rivers, Jerry Vale, Wayne Newton, Jack Jones, Al Martino and many others. Lamphere slows hit down as his version becomes more of a "late night" jazz ballad.
